Woolen spun from American Columbia fleeces, Tones Light is the little sibling to Brooklyn Tweed , and a near twin to ! The softly spun 2-ply construction of this fingering-weight yarn ensures lovely stitch definition in textured and cabled knits, and its loftiness means your fabric will be nice and cozy!
But it’s Brooklyn Tweed’s creative approach to color that makes Tones Light extra special. Starting with a light and dark heathered base yarn, they use traditional overdye techniques to pair up tonal shades. The ‘Overtone’ is a light, bright version of the hue, while the ‘Undertone’ is a deeper, more subdued variation. It’s so much fun (and so satisfying!) to mix and match Overtones and Undertones in colorwork and stripes. We hope you have as much fun playing around with the near infinite combinations as we have!
